Honoring Veterans from Huntsville & Northern Alabama

Rocket City Honor Flight gives top priority to the senior Veterans – including any remaining World War II survivors, along with other Veterans who may be terminally ill. We are accepting applications and flying any World War II, Korean era & Vietnam era Veterans through 5/7/1975 at this time. Our mission: To celebrate America’s Veterans with a FREE trip to Washington DC to visit  and be honored at those memorials dedicated to honor the service and sacrifices of themselves and their friends. Rocket City Honor Flight is a recognized 501(c)(3) organization, and all contributions are tax deductible to the full extent of applicable tax law.

OUR MISSION

Rocket City Honor Flight is dedicated to honoring America’s Veterans for all of their sacrifices and service by providing them an Honor Flight to Washington, DC to visit their memorials free of charge as a small token of appreciation.

Working Towards Our First Flight

We are excitedly working on fundraising goals to have our first flight spring of 2027.  Support our cause and help us meet our fundraising goals to be able to send our local Veterans to Washington D.C.  and honor them at their memorials.

We are finalizing our donation system now.  In the meantime you can mail checks to our address located below or on our contact page.

  • HOMECOMINGS

    After every trip, we will have a homecoming to welcome back our local heroes. As we get closer to our first flight, we will share more information about our homecoming.

  • MAIL CALL

    We welcome letters and notes from the general public to be included in our mail call to our Veterans. School groups, companies and individuals are welcome to prepare Thank You letters and cards for our future Veterans.

  • THE WAIT LIST

    As we take on new applications for our first flight and future flights, there will undoubtedly be a wait list that will form. We will be happy to update you when you contact us on where you are on our future waitlist.
